Publii stores themes in two places:
- in the Publii/themes directory, where all themes currently installed in the Publii app are stored,
- inside each website's input folder, which includes a theme directory which only stores the theme files used on that specific website.
Installing a theme on your website
To install the theme on your website, navigate to the settings tab and, in the dropdown list of available themes, select to either "Install and use" or "Use" your chosen theme (depending on whether it has already been installed or not).
If you decide to install a new theme on your website, Publii will copy the theme files from the application themes directory.
An alternative solution is to manually copy the theme directory of your chosen theme in the website's input/themes directory.
Installing a new theme in Publii
To make a new theme available in the Publii app, go to the application settings and drag and drop the folder or ZIP archive with the new theme's files over the themes list. Publii will automatically move the files to the application themes directory.
