Publi messing with external images URL

In the text editor, when I insert an image and use its URL as the source, for instance:

    https://nimax-img.de/Produktbilder/small/20286_0.jpg

in the resulting source code after preview, the URL is replaced with:

    https://nimax-img.de/Produktbilder/small/responsive/20286_0-xs.jpg

And of couse, it doesn’t display.

External images work very well. What version of Publii are you using? How do you upload your image?

    It’s 0.37.1

Here’s how I’m uploading the image:

    Capture-décran-2020-10-13-à-16.12.32

I just did a test: it works fine when the site is published online. The image’s URL is as I entered it in the box and it displays just fine, but in preview, it keeps changing  the URL as described in my previous message.

What OS are you using? I am asking because it works very well on mac.

macOS Mojave and macOS Catalina. Tried on both.

I can’t reproduce this issue, for me it works very well in the preview mode.

Anything I can do to help reproducing it? Screen sharing? Sending files?

@RKR – which theme are you using?

Editorial. Do you want me to try with another one?

Could you please try with simple theme to check if the same issue appears?

Eh sorry, it doesn’t work. I switched the theme to Simple, rebuilt the thumbs, but when I click on the “Preview” button in the WV editor I’m getting this:

    Rendering process failed
    File post-full-image-header.hbs does not exist.

I may try later with a test site…

Please try to preview only a subpage which have this issue – because your error is caused by a lack of the template used in a specific view
